Ludgershall- 18th June

Just a quick one this evening guys as I am super busy this week.
As the sole Peter Hansford rider at Ludgershall on Monday night I went into the race with a tactic of ATTACK!!! I attacked to form large splits and then attacked again numerous times attempting to pull away the strong riders to the point where the spectators must have thought I was enjoying the pain. Despite this there were too many teams represented in the bunch with various intentions to get away so in the end it came down to a bunch sprint.  On the final laps I fought hard for position but lost one particular battle to Lee Smith (Felt RT), who used his size to get where he wanted. I feel that this was my error and I ended up coming in for 6th place, narrowly missing out on 4th but with the top 3 a few bike lengths clear.
I am frustrated with my sprinting this year so it is back to the drawing board to come up with some more sprint specific training to try and grab at some mid season wins!

Results are in and to my surprise I took 4th on the night! http://www.southbc.org.uk

Ride safe!

Phill
