On Thursday the 31st of May I decided to give
FWCC club 10 a bash. Since the nice weather
started I’ve been suffering for bad hay fever so I wasn’t expecting much for
the 10mile P829 course. The course its
self has a fast start with elevation loss to the first turn then comes back on
its self before taking in a twisty narrow back road looping back to the start. I have to say it was not my best TT, it was drizzly
and with slick tubular on I wasn’t going to take any chances. To add to the fun
a tractor decided to pull out on me down
the twisty lane and then stopped while the farmer closed the gate! Going from
30mph to a complete stop in 20m is always
going to cause a ‘brown moment’. Anyway,
my new argon continued to prove its aero credentials, I came home in 23:03 that
proved fast enough to take it on the night.
Thank you to FWCC's Roger De Vere and all the organisers / time keepers for a well run and safe
event.
Ollie
