Mountbatten - 22nd Aug

Wednesday night once again saw a classy field of riders for the race the rides round in circles for 45 minutes. For the Hansford team there was myself, Ollie, Brook and Mike. Early on a break of 12 went up the road with Ollie part of this. I quickly saw the danger and began bridging the gap to later be joined by 2 others. We eventually bridged the gap but it was hard work and took a lot out of us all as the break continued to push on! After the lead riders including myself and Ollie lapped the field there was so many attacks I would be sat here all night writing about them, each and every one looking dangerous however with 5 laps to go it was all together and Felt RT came to the front to lead it out! The bunch began to fracture with the pace but Brook put in a huge effort to keep up in contention.... despite this neither myself or Ollie had enough in the tank to pull off the win. Justin Hoy with a great lead out took the victory.
I am happy with how I am coming back from injury and looking forward to finishing the season on a high.

Results to follow and maybe a picture if we are lucky.

Ride safe
