My 2nd post in as many days......
Last night was round 3 of the Pedal Heaven Circuit Series. Having raced both of the previous 2 days I knew I was feeling good so even the drizzle, which later turned into full on rain couldn't put me off (although it did mean letting some pressure out of the front tyre).
The races at Eelmore are dominated by both Pedal Heaven Riders and Felt RT riders, this left me not really knowing which attacks to go with and which to let go up the road, after being involved in nearly all the early breaks I managed to miss the winning break of 6 riders.
I set about trying to bridge across taking 3 riders with me however it was only George Harper from Felt RT that could pull a turn so our chances weren't great and we were later caught by another 5 riders. George managed to chip off the front with 2 others to stay away between ourselves and the leading 6. I drove the group hard but in the end it was a sprint for 10th. One rider going off the front for a long one meant I narrowly missed out to him on the line to take 11th. Not the most amazing result but at least it was a finish which is more than can be said for a lot of riders who turned up. I spent the rest of the evening trying to claw the grit from my eyes!
